Statement of Intent
Statement of Intent: For my documentary I will make sure it complies to all the rules set out by ASA. My documentary is a crime documentary so I will make sure it is not distressing to anyone that may see this like children and not cause any offence to any audience. This is particularly important as it will be displayed on billboards in towns and cities and seen by people who do not choose to see it so could affect them so it will be mundane. The broadcast time for my documentary will be after watershed time due to it being about crime which may be upsetting for young viewers. For my show to be successful with the audience it will need to be represented in a positive way, so people are interested in the show and build a fan base but also make sure they then enjoy watching it. My show will have an educational aspect to it so people can learn about criminology within the documentary which is positive and would be good for criminology students.
